Data on my Tmobile blackberry has been slow to nonexistent, I thought I was the only one! I can't use my twitter app or facebook app, only when I am logged under UMA does everything work.

I hope this is fixed soon!

RIM escalated their partial BIS outage from earlier to a nationwide outage within the past 2-3 hours, and have deemed it to be a critical outage (duh), which I believe is their highest level of escalation. Presently approximately 75% of BIS clients are affected - I'm lucky, and am not affected. Full restoration is expected at approximately midnight EST, or 2 hours from now.

Might as well hang up they not gonna be of much help should be fixed soon its a RIM issue not a network issue

No. Your post doesn't even make sense. BIS is the means by which you send and receive data on your BlackBerry.. it IS BlackBerry service. It also means that, on occasion, systems fail. Including BIS. The last BIS outage of any significance was on 9/22. I'd say it's way too early to jump to conclusions about what should/could have been/will be done. RIM doesn't help their cause when a situation is created during which approximately 75% of all carriers' BIS customers are affected in some way. That said, it would be reasonable to believe that RIM will take appropriate steps to determine the root cause of this outage and fix it. IMO this thread should stick to outage reports and information rather than become a RIM bash fest. That doesn't help those who are looking for information regarding the outage.

Soooo, we plan on some sort of BIS / Blackberry failure every six-ish weeks? Sure as h*ll wish my customers would accept that on our product...
