    So basically this is an issue with z10 owners? Glad i'm not feeling it on my 9930 in the states..

    I'm still out...BBM worked when I created a brand new BBID, but when I try to associate with my existing ID, I get the error

    Mine was out a while ago. Pretty sure it's the damn network carriers issues. Speaking from experience in Alberta, Rogers being the "first for BlackBerry", NOBODY there was prepared for the launch. Not a single person knew anything about the phone, about its requirements etc. I do honestly believe that Rogers anyways, is trying to adjust and fix their issues with their network being unprepared for the Z10 and was doing rolling outages. Just a heads up.

    Also, stop blaming BlackBerry as the culprit behind these outages. Because we're not on BlackBerry Plans, Enterprise etc anymore. These are just straight forward data plans from your local cell phone providers now. So blame Rogers servers etc.

    Are BBM's run through different servers than plain old texts now?
    We were told when buying the phones that BIS is gone and it runs on the same servers as everything else data now. And yet, my texts, emails, facebook, etc all work. The only thing not working is BBM and it only seems to be affecting people who got the Z10.

    This is an awful thing to happen right around the US launch.

    was out for 2 minutes, a simple restart of the device, When in doubt power it off.

    BBM still not working and still showing the same error "Temporary Server Error" when I select Restore using device switch. Should I just select continue and add all the contacts again or should i still wait for some magic to happen. Suprising this issue is happening one day before the launch of the phone in India. Not a good sitiuation.

    Back up and working by pressing "Continue" and resetting BBM then adding all contacts from scratch using barcodes. Seemed like the only viable option and definitely beats sitting around waiting for Blackberry to stay silent like nothing's going on.

    Mine is fine, but I'm not using BIS. I'm on the Z10.

    Other than sitting around and waiting for Blackberry to do something, this is the only thing that worked for me, yes. Took me 5 minutes to scan all the barcodes in, good way to filter out all the people you don't want on BBM as well.

    I think it may be the switch from PIN to BBID. If you are on old OS, try to switch over to BBID. Even on newer OS (except Z10), if you are on PIN, BIS BBM doesn't recognize anymore.
