BBM not working for some people
Been having problems for the last 4 hours. Try to send BBM's but do not show as delivered (and the person doesn't receive them). Seems to be intermittent on BBM only, but Carriers are aware of the issue and are trying to figure out if it is them or RIM. PIN, email, internet, txt messaging and phone all working fine.

BBM appears to be working again. Did anyone else have a problem? Wonder if it was the carrier or RIM?

Also on Rogers and having the same problem since around noon.
Also just got back to the office and see 5 e-mails in my inbox that never made it to my phone. Last E-mail I received on my phone was at 12:11 (about 4 hours ago).If my post was helpful, hit the thanks button!

Down for me in Phoenix AZ Verizon.
EDIT: I am also not getting delivery confirmations on text messages to other Verizon users as I normally do.Last edited by gkl; 06-04-2012 at 03:20 PM.

Pretty much fine here...and I've been talking to people all over the place.

BBM has been down for me almost two hours now.
As it's late I can't ring Vodafone UK to see what the issue is though I can receive BBM's fine just not send them?! I even added myself on my Corporate BlackBerry (also on Vodafone UK) I can send them from the Curve to my Bold 9900 fine but not from my Bold to anyone else or the work phone :S
First thing was 'A quick battery pull' but as every BlackBerry user knows there is nothing 'Quick' about it.
I re-installed BBM, changed the permissions, re-sent the service books, soft rest, hard rest and reloaded the OS.....Still not working I just get a red 'X' after a while of the message being sent with just a tick and I've now ran out of solutions......
EDIT: BBM seams to be sending my messages now but still a little slow. Hope this is the end of it!Last edited by Ssteffan; 06-04-2012 at 05:01 PM.

On Rogers, in Montreal... slight delays about an hour or so ago but working fine now.

I'm onVodafone India, and it had problems as well.
Had the check mark, and then it turned into a red cross. Funny part was that I still got status updates and browsing and facebook were all working fine. It was for a good 30 minutes or so before things returned to normal. I think RIM stopped a possible outage

Oh that's what that was around 9pm last night.
I bbm'd - came out of a railway tunnel and it was playing up. I done a battery pull and it worked again.

Im having the same problem my BBM stopped working at about 12pm today. I can make and receive calls and texts but no BBM just shows a big red cross next to the message if I try to send or if someone tries to send to me? ive rung O2 they said there is nothing wrong with the services there end but something is not working? They have told me to check my sim and handset which is not possible whilst im at work. Any one have any other suggestions?

I don't think this is due to the same cause that started this thread. I would recommend backing up your device via Desktop Manager, wiping it through Security Options, and then restoring from backup.

I am on Vodafone UK and have not been able to send email or BBMs at all this morning. Have tried re-booting etc but it is clearly a BBM service issue as rest of Vodafone working just fine. Has there been any communication from Blackberry?

This looks to be an EMEA wide Vodafone BB outage, most users seem effected. Not emails here via BES since 3AM GMT.
