Default Airave Outage?

Just wondering if others are having issues with their Airave. I've had mine for a few months, no issues. However, for the past 4 days my phone will not make calls using the airave. I have reset it several times, and all LED's are green and good to go. I know it's not my phone as my wife's phone does not connect either. Thinking maybe there is an outage, but haven't been able to find anything. Anyone have any ideas?

My Airave was out and I called Sprint and Airace technical support told me there was a national outage and they didn't have an ETA for when it would be working again. I called a few days later and got the same answer. My Airave was down for about 5 days when I decided to try a hard reset (held a paper clip in the "reset" hole on the back for 15 seconds) and after the boot up (about 20mins) my Airave is working again and has been since Friday night when I reset it. Hope that helps you as Sprint was no help with the issue. I literally reset it minutes after hanging up the phone with them and the rep telling me there was still an outage.

Thanks, I'm going to give that a try tonight and see if it works. Tough without the airave as I can't make calls, and my battery just drains from searching for service. Nice to get an answer on here. Crackberry forums always seem to be more helpful than Sprint's Customer Service!!

Wonder if you have to replace it, will Sprint start adding the new $10 fee to your account too?

That's actually pretty funny... Although I'm not sure if you were kidding or serious haha... Either way, the new "fee" is for smartphones... You don't have to own a smartphone to get an Airave... Crappy signal is all you need haha. Besides, they have changed the Airave service I think... The old Samsung Airave they charged a fee to buy and for monthly service (though some people got that all waived). I'm pretty sure they don't sell the new Airvana Acess Point, they only give it to Premier customers... I could be wrong, but I know I didn't pay for mine, nor do I pay for the service for it. I don't actually "own" my Airave, I was told to return it if I cancel my Sprint service.

Reset it last night, and yep, worked like a charm. Thanks again!

I also got my airave for free and don't pay a monthly charge. One rep I talked to wanted to charge me for it, then another said they don't. I guess it just takes a certain amount of complaining.

Glad the reset helped. I also agree it takes patience to deal with Sprint. The first rep I talked to refused to admit that the Airave even existed!
