Default After outage battery drains faster

After recovering Blackberry Services my battery drains much more faster than before. Do you have same issue with the battery after the outage?

probably because your phone wasnt connected to the BB network. without most connections, the phone is only good for texts and phone calls. once connected again, and full data services available, your battery will probably drain a little faster.

Totally!!!

OMG, I thought I was going nuts thinking I'm the only one who have this.

Yep, I noticed that after the outage (even though all services are up and running) my BlackBerry Bold 9900 battery drains much faster than before the outage.

It's pretty strange.

Using Bold 9900 with OS 7.0.0.440.

its not strange, its common sense. think of the blackberry being connected to the BB network as a car towing a laden trailer. its gas mileage will deteriorate, depending on how much weight is in tow. lose the trailer, gas mileage will be better.

Thanks for the depictive analogy. But what I meant was that AFTER the outage my BB's battery seems to drain faster than BEFORE THE OUTAGE. Taking it as if nothing happend (since BIS is back and working like always) the difference in battery drainage is rather suspicious to me. Am I not right here? And I guess that is what original poster meant too.

My battery drained faster during the outage. Tinymeter showed a max of 90% drop per hour that day. All back to normal once service came back.

During the outage it might have drained faster if certain apps were looking for service continually.
After all was restored, your phone would be operating exactly as before, INCLUDING THE BATTERY, given that it was recharged to full. There is no way the outage changed anything, step away from the bar.

Okay. Let's hope I'm just being paranoid and there's no excessive battery draining. Maybe my imagination was hurt by the outage and I'm merely exaggerating things now... ))))))))))

I too observed the battery draining after the outage. It is much higher compared before outage...There is not much change in usage pattern or applications ,still it is not lasting for even one day

I thought the exact opposite. I seemed to be getting even better life after the outage.

Must agree. My wifes 9800 battery is not even lasting half a day after the outage. She did do a battery pull after the outage just to "reset" things. She hasn't installed any more apps on it either. In fact the only app she has installed on her bb is Facebook.
