Exclamation 9/16/2011 BBM/BIS outage discussion

I am pretty sure it's not just me because other people in my geographical area are having the same issue. I live along the Canada/USA border and even my American friends are having issues.

Here is what I have noticed. BBM will either not show the D mark when a message is sent and the other person may or may not get it. Or the D is shown, but the question of if the other person received it is questionable. Then sometimes after 20 - 30 min of no BBM messages a bunch will come, the BB lights up like a X-mass tree and then it takes a crap again.

I have also noticed that BIS e-mail is extremely slow. E-mails will hit my inbox and about 1 hour later my BB is going off.

I believe RIM is having some serious issue's and they need the straighten them out quick. Maybe some RIM employee should check the crack berry forums and report back. It seams to me RIM never listen's to what it's customers are saying and yesterdays Q2 financial results are no surprise to me. Maybe just maybe I made a big mistake buying yet another Blackberry (Bold 9900).

COME ON RIM GET WITH THE PROGRAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in canada and me and everyone on my bbm list are pretty much having the same problem

I'm also having the same problem. The ppl in my list are also having the same problem.

Same problem here in the US Pennsylvania to be exact...this is on a Verizoin Bold 9930...sucks first i ever remember having this happen and ive had berries for quite a few years now...

Same problem here, I am in Quebec on the Rogers network. No BBM abilities since about 9 PM last night. All my contacts are having the same problem. Lovely...

I live in Toronto and been having problems receiving emails, something is up. Maybe their updating the new BIS

I'm feeling the pain in Atlanta. My BES message receiving is spotty today. BeWeather won't update, and BB Traffic was not working right on the way to work. It seems that there is a data issue beyond BIS. I hope it gets straightened out to.

I'm in the Vancouver area with no email or BBM...

In Toronto, Canada on Rogers.. been experiencing this all morning. It started with a single contact and now it's pretty much everyone on my BBM list. I get a check mark, but no D or R. I can receive messages though.

EDIT: I can send and receive email, and browsing seems to work fine. It's isolated to BBM for me.

same here all the way from New Zealand, could be global? Email, browsing etc are fine with BIS and wifi.

Been on the phone with RIM for about an hour and 20 min. They havent said a word about them having issues. Had over 400 bbs on BES not working or delays in email up to 2 hours. Looks to be getting better though. Had a nice pending packet size of about 1400 messages at one point now its inthe 200s.

Ditto.. and it hasn't just been today. It's been going on since last Friday. This has happened so often over the passed year that as much as I had once loved my blackberry...I'm slowly falling out of love for it. iPhone is starting to look more and more appealing. How sad RIM!!

Have been having these problems since last night. Only thing that seems to work is calling someone. Yay, using 1915 communication technology with a blackberry bold is fun!
On an even better note, show up to my 1030 class it turns out it was cancelled this morning. Just got the email on my blackberry now. So much for being able to sleep in>.<
