Question 2010-01-04 - Slow browsing?

Hi,

Is there anyone else having extremely slow browsing issue?

Both my BlackBerry (a 9700 on Bell and a 8900 on Rogers) are almost unable to browse the web. Takes forever to load a web page, if it loads at all. Most applications using a web service (facebook, ubertwitter, BerryWeather, etc...) aren't working or working extremely slowly. E-mails are still coming in normally.

This has been going on intermittently for ±3 days now and I've travelled over 600Km in these 3 days, so it doesn't seem to be a local tower communication problem.

Both BlackBerry are using BIS, which is the only common factor, so my guess is that RIM is having trouble again... Am I the only one having these issues?

Yeah I am on BELL in Vancouver and my browser just quit trying to load anything, I don't know if it's carrier specific or what, but as far as I know, it's down right now. I'm still receiving emails though.

I'm with Bell and I have a 9700. Browser stopped working completely last night and I called tech support and they're aware that there's an issue with one of the browers for the 9700's and are working to fix it. That's all they could tell me....it's affecting all 9700 users and they have no clue when it'll be fixed. So now I just sit and wait to see a flicker of life in my poor sad lil berry LOL

I'm still going up and down on both my BB. Seems worse during the evening. Seems like an intermittent BIS issue to me.

Just got off the phone with Bell Tech support. They are aware of the issue they took down a bunch of information. Basically said its a Bell issue and they are working on it.
