Default Who all is getting the Storm2 refresh?

I think I will be grabbing one next month. OS6 with webkit, 512 MB and 5MP camera is good enough for me. You can keep the rest.

I enjoy not having to have a battery charger permanently plugged into my phone.

It's hard me to justify to myself for blowing my yearly upgrade to go from a Storm 2 to S2-refresh just for a new OS and webkit and memory.

Yeah I hear ya.

For me, I'm only interested in a BlackBerry OS, and only interested in touchscreen phones, and LOVE surepress, and hate AT&T's service in my area.

Pretty much cuts it down to one kind of phone lol, and with a S2 refresh next month, I don't see a Storm3 for at least another 10-12 months.

Quite possibly the biggest rip-off in smartphone history.

If there ever was an option with VodafoneUK, they would expect me to extend my contract by another 18 months at least.

The refresh IMO will also be out of date when it comes out, compared to the competition.

So NO, I would rather saw of my right testicle with a rusty spoon.

No way in **** I'd buy this s2 refresh. Doing that tells RIM that only upgrades in memory and OS (which should have been available for the original s2) are good enough. I think you'd be a fool to waste an upgrade on the refresh.

Like Dave, I am considering droid. It is looking more appealing as time goes on.

like I've said for months, I'm, not married to any particular phone, so at some point, I suppose it's possible I'll switch to another platform. for now, I'm keeping (and am generally pleased with) my S2.

Like said is the biggest rip off in smartphone history. I am sorry for all the people they will suck into paying 100-200 or whatever for that device and extending their contract. its like the have "sucker" written on their face when they walk in the door.

I would get a S2-Refresh if I had a Storm 1 but I'll pass and get the Storm 3 or 4 (whatever the next number is).

Waiting for LTE. Agree the update is too little, too late.

I'll wait for fall of next year and see what's in the offering then, screw getting a refresh. Technically the S2 is a refresh on the S1 but depends on who's being asked.

@BigSupa - you just might want to see if a new battery might fix that! Only time I saw something like that on my S2 was after a software load, and it was 75% drain. Went away after I reset discharge rate. This is my normal discharge under heavy usage.
