| | What do YOU want in a BBX phone?
For me:
- Large capacity battery 1800mAh-2000mAh at the very least.
- Functionality over design, the phone has to work as a phone first and foremost. Forget thinness.
- 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, with LED flash.
- 9900 size and keyboard.
- Browser supports Flash and HTML5.
- No more truncated mail.
- Wifi sharing.

My only issue with BB have always been download speed. I'm here downloading a 1MB app while an android/iphone user is right next to me downloading a 19MB app and they get done before me. Like seriously what is that all about??? Faster more fluent download speed and I will be complete.

Also, enough with this thinness craze - slap in at least a 2600mah battery, or it will be worthless to me.
Bonus if it has IR - I want to control my TV/Media center with only my phone (and I hate the options already out there for this).
Also, like the Trackpad on the 9930 glows, make a band around the entire front of the phone like that which glows, and give us a command center (similar to Alienware) where we can control the color and lighting effects of it.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I agree. As we enter the LTE era for the carriers, it would be nice to have the "option" of utilizing a BA battery or carry an extra around. Granted there are exceptions, but, anytime someone post about having extraordinary battery life on any device - whether dual/single core processors, I call BS. Even with no apps, battery life is not great.

Add LTE, a 32gb microsd, and the ability to store apps on the flash memory to the phone the OP described and you would have a dream phone.

Stylus and native app similar to the Galaxy Note. Bigger screen would also be nice. More pure business native app thought.

There is no difference between form and function. RIM needs to realize this and stop making compromises between the two.

bbx phone has to not even match apple.it has to match android or surpass it.if it doesn't,then rim might lose another customer in 2013.

Here is a terribly photoshopped torch that I believed should be redesigned as so into the Storm 3. This is what I want RIM to start off 2012 with - |

Two form factors
9790 style only slightly taller w/ larger screen.
Slab touchscreen with same width as a 9900 but slightly taller.
Dual core processor 1.2 min but by the time they hit the market 1.5 would be better.
2000 mah battery.
Full email functionality.
8MP camera.
fwd facing camera.
A real functioning browser.
Micro SDXC Support.
Full Android App support.
On the slab version I want the Swype keyboard...
USB charging support from 12v adapters...
I think that sums up my wish list....

For the all touch screen:
-No buttons
-Front facing camera
-Dual core
-No lag, at all.
-Best battery life out of all smartphones
-Bluetooth 4.0
-Would be awesome for the screen to take up almost all of the face of the phone, with a tiny bezel.
-NFC
-Same glass that's in the Samsung Galaxy 2, after seeing a drop test: WOW.
Keyboard phone:
-No lag, at all
-Bluetooth 4.0
-Best battery life out of all smartphones
-NFC
-Same glass as SG2
-Dual core
-Touch screen that's taller then 9900
-
Skull Candy headphones in the box with both phones(or RIM to pair up with some other company)
I'm sure I could think of more, so probably add more later.

Okay, after a few more tweaks and adding a few of you guys' specs that were great and I missed out on, here is the new draft of photoshopped torch into Storm 3D -
Vote it up, maybe RIM might get inspired by it haha.

Dual core, MUCH bigger battery.
I'm interested in the KB version, so...
Taller screen! PLEASE! Lower the KB a little, and make the screen even larger (and the device a little taller too). The 9900 form factor, and even a little wider, too.
AUTOFOCUS CAMERA! DO YOU HEAR ME RIM!?
And an extra convenience key. I like one for the camera and I need the other for the message inbox! Arg.
Maybe a slightly larger wake button.
1080p recording
Make the WHOLE bezel glow instead of JUST the track pad! That would look so cool! haha. And maybe depending on the type of message, part of the bezel could glow or change color or sometihng. Missed call = the whole bezel, SMS = the top, BBM = the bottom, etc etc. hehe.

If the bezel was glowing it would remind me of Tron, and that's alright
