Default My idea, First Superphone model name

RIM needs to name their first QNX superphone the "Kraken", so they can have Liam Neeson dramatically release it.

If indeed QNX is to be the salvation of BlackBerry, perhaps an appropriate name would be 'Phoenix.'

I hope it will be an awesome name. A name that would make the other phones scared : ) Something that would mean going into a new era. Since they are talking about it being a "superphone" they will have to have an impressive phone that would deserve the name though.

How about keeping it simple-the "BlackBerry Amazing"; 'What kind of phone is that, Tom?' 'Why, its an Amazing, Bill'

RIM should use sesame street names. The blackberry "big bird", the blackberry snuffalumpagus, the blackberry grover.

I like Phoenix. It implies the new phone rising out of the ashes of a RIM that seems to be self-destructing lately.

Other ideas might inlclude Hercules, Thor or Force. Hey, now I like that: "May the Blackberry Force be with you."

    Default Volcanos

RIM should name it after the Icelandic volcanos that have erupted recently... like...

    Grimsvotn

    or

    Eyjafjallajökull

I like that idea a lot!

Maybe as a development code name the "SuperPhone" will go by "SP1".

RIM needs to stick to the familiar form factor they have carried over the years and not be tempted to impersonate the other brands on the market or the will **** a lot of the blackberry faithfuls.

The name Phoenix would be a great name for the first wave of new direction devices for a solid company. It definitely implies the rebirth from the ashes and could signify and help develop a new customer base for RIM after losing over the years.

Either way I will remain, as I have for the last 6 years, a faithful customer to RIM and continue to support them.
