If that phone was ever made, I think everyone would wet themselves.
BlackBerry PlayBook 32GB bridged with a BB Torch 9850

The battery life for a full touch screen such as this would be?
lol as a BLACKBERRY phone I think it is a bad idea...but for say the next generation of the playbook it would be an awesome idea.Last edited by jonathon94; 08-09-2011 at 07:49 PM. Reason: grammar mistake :(

"BlackBerry QNX One?" Sounds like someone listens to the This Is My Next Podcast too hahaha. The renders look interesting though. I hope RIM takes this type of route for the phones.

So... you want an iPhone running QNX?
Your design even if it looks great might cannibalize Playbook share, I could guess that could be the Torch QNX (Blackberry QNX Dos) but keeping the trackpad and buttons similar to the Torch 9850.
Maybe the Blackberry QNX UNO will be an evolution of the 9900 with QNX and somehow a bigger screen to handle Phone gestures.
You should change the home icons to show PIM apps so people get more hyped :P - 08-10-2011, 12:53 AM #14
Sounds a little too close to Nexus One, and we saw how that turned out.

I would ABSOLUTELY buy this. Although, it would still need the the touch pad and the 4 buttons down to the bottom. The would need to integrate stereo speakers into it, some metal finishes. Plus, an oversized battery that would last at least 2 days for the heavy users and abusers.

LOL, that's not bad. Good work!

Personally I like the design of the phone, but I don't think the UI is going to be the same as the PB UI. I don't think the whole Cards thing will work as well on a 4" device. They should switch to a more Android-like homescreen with widgets and multiple pages. That would be a breeze for QNX, and it would greatly improve functionality.

I would he so happy if every BB from here on out (after OS7 devices obviously) had stereo speakers! The 9000 sound was a treat and (while still low in volume at times) the PB sounds awesome!
