My ideal BlackBerry:
- form factor of 8900, but with a trackpad
- 5 MP camera
- OS 6 preloaded
- 3G
I want to upgrade to the 9780 for the trackpad, OS 6, and the camera, but I LOVE the keyboard on my 8900. Give me the best of both worlds, RIM!
If this is upgradeable to OS 6 like the 9700 is, I may go for it anyway...

since when did the "curve" name mean cheap or lower end???? When the 8830 WE, curve 8330 or 8310, and first Pearl was out, the curve never took on this role of being the cheap alternative. When the 8900 came out for TMO, it was the regular (so I thought) upgrade to the first curve. Once they came out with the 8520/30 series "cheap" curves with no 3g, no flash, and the same 2mp camera, I always thought something was out of place! This device should be equal to that of the Bold but with a Curve Keyboard! I dont know why RIM changed that philosophy!
BBs are already cheap! I dont see a logical marketing reason to water down the BB line and make even cheaper devices! And then call them the same name that you once called a middle to high end device! SMH!

Too bad the 9300 is a POS device with a low res camera and no flash.

regardless of whether its a Bold or a Curve, I find myself using the tips of my thumbs and sometimes a part of my nail to type. And for that, I rather it spaced apart and slightly flatter like the Curve verse the raised keys that are stuck together like the Bold

Id prolly get this phone if it does come to the states. maybe. But since were talking about keyboards... id choose the curve keyboard over the bold keyboard any day.
