Looking good. Nothing too crazy exciting - that's the edge-only 8910 atlas that they've now rebranded to 8980. the device model has been popping up in our google analytics quite a bit. i wonder if they've upped the memory at all... check out the Help Me! screen and Options > Memory screens.
curve 9300s are further out... and more like an update to the 85xx series (lower res screens). this 8980 gets the 480x360 resolution.
can email the photos into tips @ crackberry.com or just kevin at crackberry.com

it's not much but it's still refreshing news nonetheless... many will be more geeked by this than by the 9670

someone, somewhere, had also mentioned 'Enhanced' EDGE... is this the case?Bold 9700

I wish the curve 9300 had the exact formfactor as the curve 8300 but with the trackpad. That phone was the most comfortable I ever held in my hand.

I can't keep track anymore. Is this destined for the US? Probably not since it is edge only right? Doesn't it look like the 9650?

That does seem like the most logical reason to do another edge device that wasn't just aimed at the entry level, I think the correct term is actually evolved rather than enhanced edge.
Boosting edge download speeds past umts and into the lower end of hsdpa speeds seems like a useful upgrade for networks with a good 2g network, but little or no 3g coverage, but then you have the question of whether or not there are enough carriers in that situation to make it worth rim's while to make such a device.
