BBX Device Mockup by Pootermobile
I was messing around with a design for what a BBX device would maybe look like, or what I'd like it to look like. If you guys have any ideas or input feel free to leave a comment and I can maybe add it to the design

i like it. Simple and elegant.
I'm not coming around to the look of the BB London concept leak. Call me boring but I'd rather have something like this, given the choice. - 11-22-2011, 02:31 PM

Personally...I'd like to see the 5 function buttons: send/menu/touch pad/back/end.

Added call/menu/back/end button and the ear speaker mesh thing. Looks a bit better

I didn't add a trackpad yet because I like how it looks without it.Last edited by Pootermobile; 11-22-2011 at 06:05 PM.

Led
love the slimline/peek-a-boo LED!
Could you make it show all the way across top . . . ?
TOO cheesy would be the KnightRider effect!Thanked by:Pootermobile (11-23-2011)

Ok added the track pad and made a few small tweaks. Made the bezel smaller, I'd like to think that bezel gestures could be done within the screen itself

This looks awesome. I'd absolutely buy this device.

That looks really cool! I think it could be a little narrower but not too much...
Can you design another version that has a full kb?
Then you would have the two phones RIM should be making rather than 10 or 15 or whatever the current number is...

I like it! I echo some others in saying that it's simple and elegant looking.

Thanks for the suggestions and compliments guys.
Gonna make it not as wide also. It seems like people are split on the buttons and trackpad lol maybe have two different versions?

gotta say, i like that, it does very much remind me looks wise of the HTC HD2 with the buttons at the bottom being capacitive (ala galaxy nexus) on yours rather than real buttons like the HD2 had, which is no bad thing at all

Why don't go a step further and design the UI...but other than that looks really good.

Ok worked a bit on the first device, made it less wide and added a new device with no buttons. I've also "code named" the devices. The one with buttons is called FS-1 (FS for "flagship") and the one with no buttons is called Saber cause it sounds cool
Feel free to leave your comments and suggestions

I'd take the one wit the 'family keys' anyday.
It just looks right.
Did you actually reduce the width? It still looks wide.

That LED + BeBuzz = awesome.
I wonder what you'd come up with for one with a keyboard. :P I'd love to see itProfanity and vulgarity are the linguistic crutches of inarticulate twits.
