I don't know if this is posted already somewhere in the forum (it's probably old news, i'm just late on it!) but I read on a few sites that 16 blackberrys will be released in 2010..i don't know what carriers though.

I don't think 16 new Blackberry lines, more like different models for different carriers. Like the Tour 2, the Pearl 2, each will have variations and what not.

I can see 16 devices definitely possible if you count that in this quarter we already got three new BlackBerrys; Storm2, Bold 9700, Curve 8530. Not to mention the Pearl 9100 is on its way and the Essex is coming up too.
Who knows though, maybe we will get a complete new series introduced or entirely new devices (internet tablet anyone?). I wish some series would get renamed though, currently as it stands there are in total 9 different Curves: 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330, 8330m, 8350i, 8900, 8520, 8530 (did I miss something?).

haha
I think this only proves though, that the Curve series is the most succesful series of all BlackBerry smartphone series. I dare you find even a rumor on any other BlackBerry than the 8350i, which will exclusively run on the iDEN network. I mean, it's really awesome RIM have put so much effort in a series that most wouldn't probably call the high end (though with the recent additions to the series like the 8520 and 8530, it sure does seem to fit the low end specification more and more, that sucks as an 8900 user lol ).

The 9900 will be the same as the 9000 but better camera, trackpad and touchscreen in addition to the existing keyboard.
