Default Yes Virginia, there is a helpful Rogers Store CSR

Virginia, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see -

I wandered into Computer Systems Centre (College & Spadina, Toronto) yesterday and got into conversation with the CSR at the Rogers mini-store there. She's just moved there from another (more Business user) division and her experience and insight was both refreshing and frank.

We traded some horror stories of user experience with Rogers, she had some interesting insights about some of the phones and OSs (based on her own experience and feedback she's received from customers in her old location) and she was no hurry to flog a phone/plan to me.

And, as a freebie, she gave me a couple of maintenance hints - excuse me if I'm the only one who didn't know them -

1. Don't swap batteries between BlackBerrys - you risk bricking, and
2. Holding down alt, type LGLG. With the resulting list, click the Blackberry button and choose Clear Log. This will purge the Event Log and Cache and reclaim a little storage/memory.

Nobody sees helpful Rogers Store CSRs, but that is no sign that there is none. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. I consider myself lucky I saw one.

Yes, Virginia, there is a helpful Rogers Store CSR...

They exist, i used to be one lol. Damn i have to teach some of these CSRetards at some store when i go in for an inquiry/need... since they BS me about some asinine things 'they heard' but not experienced - where i did.

People loved coming to see me since they'd get a full run through and i'd set everything up for them before leaving the store and whatnot.

But i don't agree with the battery thing. The battery does not affect the software in any way. Bricking by definition is messing about with the software and rendering the phone inoperable in terms of function.

The only thing that may kill the phone, completely to the point it won't turn on is a bad, old, leaky battery [if that]. And even that is a very rare case of killing the device.
