Default Wifi-Calling?

I am going to install the 7.1 update on my 9810. I am not subscribed to Wi-fi calling, UMA, whatever its called. If I just want to make Wi-fi calls, strictly using my wi-fi, will I be charged by Rogers and will it be taken out of my minutes?

Also, does anyone know if mobile hotspot costs anything if you have a 1 GB tethering plan?

Thanks in advance!

Wifi calling would come out of your mins. If it works, I think rogers trys to charge 5 bucks to even gain axcess to UMA/wifi calling.

And as long as you don't go over your data, then hotspot is free, rogers didn't charge me nothing for it last month.
