habs_fan is correct in that the larger data plans whether for bb or other smartphones are the same price. and you will always use less data on a bb because rim compresses the data that is sent through their noc.

added value i think so

Yup, data through the NOC is saving you a bundled.... and any smartphone on a 100MB plan would be seing ALOT of overage. My old plan had 500MB data, I never came close to using it. In november added my daughter to my plan. Before doing so I spoke with a few carriers, I was really worried about her data usage. Most of them said stick with blackberry. I've since bought playbooks for both of us, and we do bridge them quite a bit. I was worried about this months bill, and was happy to see we were still just under 1 GB of our 2 GB plan.

Also last I heard, the carriers pay RIM $5 a month for BIS, so you likely are paying a premium, but well worth it IMO
