Default Unlocking a Rogers Bold 9900

Hi, I have a blackberry bold 9900 that's locked to Rogers, but I am a Telus client. I know you can go into the Rogers store to get a phone unlocked for a fee, but do you have to be a Rogers client? And what is the cost?

Thank you!

If you have an Ebay account...:

ROGERS BLACKBERRY UNLOCK CODE BOLD 9900 | eBay

Unlock Code For Rogers Blackberry 9900 Bold Touch | eBay

I've always unlock my Blackberry's using an Ebay auction. Usually costs around $1, and you'll get the code within 5 - 10 minutes. I'ts not worth going to a Rogers store for a buck .

Default Unlocking Blackberry Bold 9900 from Rogers

It's very cheap to unlock your Blackberry 9900 remotely, you can do it from your home using the Internet and get it all done in minutes. when your Blackberry bold 9900 will be unlocked from rogers it can work with many carriers worldwide without the need to unlock it more then once.

What I find somewhat interesting is when I bought my 9360 outright and asked them to unlock my phone they refused and said some companies will do it for a ~$50 fee. But I have now come across this;

Bill C-560 which clearly states;

Quote:
Removal on request

5. If a consumer purchases a cellular telephone from a provider without entering into a service contract of at least six months in duration with the provider or if the consumer pays the total cost of the telephone handset before taking possession of it, the provider shall, on the request of the consumer at any time after the purchase, remove free of charge any network lock that has been applied to the telephone.
Yet another thing I have to go back to Rogers and complain about. If I had a nickel for every time I've had to do this I would own two (and possibly three) terrible professional sports franchises.
