Default unlock a rogers blackberry

I want to unlock my blackberry 9700, because I'm going to china for couple weeks next month. I was wondering if this allows me to use carriers in china, at least 2G. Will this cause any problem when I come back and use rogers services (e.g. 3G network)?
p.s. rogers never provide unlocking code, sux

It will not cause any problems when you return to Rogers networks. Unlocked phones work no problem on Rogers, not sure about in China however.

Just remember unlocking your phone will void your warranty (if it's still under one).

Unlocking your phone and using it in China should be fine, provided that there are available GSM phone service providers there.

Yes, it will work. You will be running off the 900 band in China. Check out China Mobile or China Unicom GSM for service.

lol. Carriers do not check if it is unlocked or not.

yeah I don't think any canadian carriers provide unlock codes. Unlocking is claimed by the carriers as voiding warranty. I haven't had issues with Bell yet with unlocking. I would recommend freethisberrydotcom. One of the cheapeast and pretty fast

Unlocking does not Void your Warranty .. When you bring in your phone into repair they do not go into the SIM card menu and see if it is unlocked or not. They just check for physical damage or any liquid/moisture damage and any related hardware/software issues...
