Slow BIS email reception (or has something changed)?

Up until recently, I've had next-to-immediate email retrieval with both a Bold 900 and now a Torch 9800 via Rogers wireless.

As of the last month or so, however, email reception has been slow, as in I will get a batch every 10-15 minutes.

Why the change? The only thing I can think of is that my contract ended with Rogers recently, yet I'm still a subscriber so I can't see how that would affect the situation.

Any thoughts?

What TYPE of email? That sounds normal for POP3 email.

Interesting, because even though I use POP3 email I've always received notifications instantly. I wonder why that was and not now?

Probably the timing (the fact that you were receiving them "instantly") was coincidental.

Pretty much everything on my Bold 9900 is very slow. Email, BBM, texts, and browsing take awhile to get going.

i've been noticing slow emails lately as well.

using gmail, the emails were always instant. sometimes i would even see them hit my phone before my computer. but now it seems like it wont get to the phone for at least 20 minutes or more!!

I am going through the same pain of slowww Facebook updates and worst, Podcast downloads all fail. SOmething's up? Did not have this problem until yesterday and I have not installed/downloaded anything since then...

its normal that it takes a while for your emails to come in. The only instant email reception that you will constantly have is on a BES plan. Other than that the only other instant email reception is with the @blackberry.net email address.

It is quite unfortunate as sometimes I can experience delays of up to 25 minutes and it defeats the purpose of getting emails on the go (IMO).

GMail and Yahoo Mail are usually fairly instant as well.
