From past experience, the fee to cancel a contract or switch your phone plan OR switch phones before the contract is up, is $100.

It's $20 a month for each month remaining in the term, to a max of $400. That doesn't include data, which is $5 a month, to a max of $500.

You are not charged a cancellation fee for switching phones, upgrades, or price plan changes.

Any Rogers BB Technical staff on the board? I am beyond a little pissed at this point in time with 5 calls going into the company and nothing be changed about it. Tired of retarded 1st level technicians calling me back asking the same questions I answered to the last guy for 2 hours on the phone.

No this is not a BB software issue so please contact me only if you are a technician at Rogers that can continue to monitor your servers/logs.

Ok question for any Rogers employee .

I've been with Rogers now since march this year .
I want an early upgrade !! Can this be done or not ??
If it can't , what's with lost or stolen policy with Rogers ??
Can I call and say it was stolen and then upgrade to a new phone . I want to get a white 9780 for my wife cause I got a 9900 for myself .

Thanks

Unfortunately, early upgrades cannot be done until you are at least 6 months into your contract. Even then, it is a 2 1/2yr upgrade policy at $10 a month for every month early for non-smartphones, $15 a month for smartphones, and $20 a month for premium smartphones (torch & iphone 4).

If you are eligible, you would be just over your 6 months therefore 24 (months early) x 10 (non-smartphone) or 15 (smartphone) or 20 (torch or iphone). So lets say you have a curve. You would be looking at a $360 (24 x $15) early upgrade fee plus the cost of the phone and administration fee.

As for the lost and stolen program, they will usually offer you 1 free replacement but its usually the Nokia E5. The only blackberries in the program are usually the 8900, 9100, 9300, and 9700 ranging between 200-300ish with the program.

Its worth giving them a call to see if they can do anything better, but thats pretty much the policy of things that ive listed. Hope this helps.

B2B Consultant for Rogers Canada. I'm a third party contractor but I'm an authorized agent of Rogers Cable. I deal with all services though including smartphones & blackberry.... I do not have access to any systems other than my contact center in Ontario. I do however have access to manuals, pricing information, T&Cs and other knowledge that doesn't involve computer systems. As in I cannot access your account. I cannot provide internal information and I'm bound by the codes of conduct.

All opinions and assistant given to you will be personal; and anything set-forth is individually expressed and does not represent Rogers Canada as a whole. I'm not here officially but I'm willing to help out if I can.

You can drop me a private message and/or add me on BBM (PIN: 23799068). Please respect that I am doing this unofficial and while I will attempt to assist you as much as possible - please be polite. I'm not being paid to assist anyone here and I'm not part of the Social Medical Team

P.S Don't add me on BBM if you want to talk negatively about Rogers. I love the company to bits.

Is Rogers replacing Bricked 9900's with new units or the usual refurbs?

I'm speaking with the RIM acknowledged fiasco low charge / charge overnight / flashing red LED Bricked units.

Also, What is the MAX ECF under the new policy that will kick in next week or so?

Rogers replaced my bricked ("RIM acknowledged fiasco low charge / charge overnight / flashing red LED") 9900 with a refurb.... and then denied any such bricking issue existed and charged me $200 for "water damage" without being able to provide the usual photographic evidence of a pink water sensor (the official word was the they forgot to take a picture before they sent it back.)

As for my own question to any Rogers reps still around, I have a new problem with my "Rogers replaced refurb 9900" ... Today at work my screen stopped working as in the backlight comes on but displays nothing. I have no physical damage to the phone the screen just randomly would not turn on one time when i picked it up off my desk. I have tried pretty much everything (battery pull, charging, leaving the battery out then charging, backup/restore, device wipe and re-install OS) nothing has worked.

Its only been 6 months since i got my first 9900 and I have only had this replacement model for 1.5 months. Will rogers issue me another replacement? or do I have to contact RIM about the defective screen (even though it was a rogers refurb that is defective.)
