Default Rogers New Early Cancellation Policy

I've been waiting to get my new phone until January 22nd, because that's apparently the cutoff for the new early cancellation policy. Basically if you cancel early you will just be charged the remainder of the phone and a $12.50 fee. It sounds a lot better.

I'm super bad with this kind of stuff would someone mind explaining it to me better? I'll be a year into my contract on March 4 of this year so how much would it be if I wanted to cancel? My Blackberry Bold was free on a 3yr contract.

you would still be on the old policy. so it would be 20 a month up to 400 max, plus 10 a month for data to max of 100
so for a year it would be 360 i believe

Oh the new policy is only for those who sign a new contract in Jan 2012?

This sounds like it is a step in the right direction. I always hated paying a ton just to get out a year early.
It does kind of suck how it will only be for new contracts, still means we have to wait until our current one is done.....
