Rogers Love Thread
Okay, so i'm a little tired of hearing all the bad and you suck hate stuff people are saying about Rogers. Not saying you shouldn't be able to voice opinion, I just wanted a thread for the positive side.
As someone who worked for both Sprint and Telus, both CDMA, I found Rogers so much better. The GSM network rpm what I've seen has no where near as many hardware problems as CDMA, and the unlocking ability for other carriers is great. I enjoy the phone selection. And to the fact that Rogers has amazing bill inaccuracies and other crap that screws up in the system, the retention people will almost always bend over backwards to help you.
I got a red pearl for the new customer price when I had few to zero upgrades on my account, a month or two later I got a nokia 6086 for just the administration fee of 35 bucks for my other line then a month ago I got a 10 credit for the 30 6gb data plan plus I have a 20 my5 plan they don't have on the internet. I was also able to get unlimited text for my sister in like 5 minutes.
All in all I love Rogers, though that doesn't mean when tmobile comes in 2009 I won't be looking hard at them too lol
I'd love some more pro Rogers posts just to balance out the bad

I dunno if you've seen my thread...kinda old now...but I called Rogers about a month ago to ask about a bill inaccuracy for my internet account.
20 minutes later I had not only had my billing fixed, but the rep looked at my wireless account, noticed that I'd said I was student, and bumped me up to the student my10 plan for free (which gave me SO many extra minutes!), gave me a system access fee refund for the length of my contract, realized I'd been overcharged for my BB in the first place and gave me that refund (and offered to have it stretched out over several months to make my bills more manageable instead of all at once).
LOYAL CUSTOMER!
The only reason I'd leave them is if Tmobile came to Canada and didn't charge a system access fee and could give me a comparable contract.
Rogers gets all my love. I tell everyone whose looking for a new phone that Rogers is where it's at.-Lana

I used to be a Bell fan. It was only a few years ago that I changed almost all my cell phones to Rogers. What did it for me were:
- Pricing (better corporate plans in my case)
- Being able to bundle and save (at that time, Bell didn't really offer anything similar)
- The virtues of a GSM SIM card
I've also found their customer service to be better. I'm not a fan of their automated voice recognition menu, but overall I've had great experiences from my calls into the call centres and all sorts of staff.
I know some love Rogers and others hate them. The same can be said for the other carriers. There's no perfect carrier...otherwise, we'd all be there

im too lazy to go into detail cuz i don't wanna turn this into a rant but, basically i find Bell to be the worst carrier in canada in every way, prices, customer service etc. i like telus the most, but since they're not gsm im on rogers aka ROBERS. all in all though, every Canadian carrier is relatively crap compared to most other nations, but we'll take what we can get till something better shows up, like supposedly tmobile in 2009.

To participate a "nice" rogers thread, you would have to have something nice to say. I don't, so I can't, but I want to.
Death to rogers. May every day of their miserable existance be filled with nothing but problems! I would rather use 2 cups and a string.

I have been with Rogers since 1991
I have seen alot of things go on over the years
I have never been that upset to complain to the whole world about it
I have always found everyone at Rogers to be friendly and helpful
Once in a while you may get a rep having a bad day so I call back and talk to someone else
I just had a new cell tower erected about 1000 yards from my house so my signal is amazing
This was a good idea setting up a love thread
GOOD JOB

I gotta admit that Rogers has always gone out of there way to help me with any issue I got.
Whether it be giving me deals on my voiceplan or wireless essentials or giving me a new phone if I ever lost or damaged mine at a extremely good price or most times for free.
This is why I don't care if I had insurance on my phone. I never have to worry about getting a new one.
Yes you get a bad rep here and there but that's with any company.
I have been with them for 6+ years and will never switch back to any of the other carriers. (However we'll see wheb tmobile comes in 2009, though even then I probably won't switch I would just use TMobiles plans and price match it with Rogers)
However I still stand by my comment that they are still the lesser of three evils for their price gouging tactics. But I don't blame them for it. The oligopoly wireless market we have canada allows them to set their ridiculous prices. But hey if I was in the wirless business I would be stupid to not take advantage of the market and make as muvh money while I still can before more competition (if ever) comes in.
