Digressing back to the original point of the thread for a sec - why are you seeking your account #?
If you simply wish to get an account balance (because you haven't received your first bill) you should be able to get that via #611 on your cell and saying 'account balance' when the automated system kicks in. Again, it may ask for your postal code, but there should be no need to go to a CSR, i=f you have an aversion to them.
