Default Replacing 9800 with a 9810 or 9900

I have a 9800 which I purchased from Rogers in May of 2011.
Since then, I have experienced countless problems with my device, most of which I could live with until most recently.
The problems I am experiencing are:
-my device often refuses to send SMS messages until I restart the phone
-the end and return keys are very difficult to press and often do not respond
-my device lags and freezes very often and restarts itself
-most recently, the keyboard has become extremely difficult to slide in or out

In all honesty, the issues with the sliding keyboard are most likely due to the phone being dropped once. However, it wasn't dropped from any substantial height, so I would think the phone should be able to withstand such a fall.

The body of the phone is in good shape, very few scratches, the screen is in perfect condition, no water damage, etc...

I would like Rogers to replace my device with a refurbished one. However, since Rogers no longer carries the 9800, can I expect to receive the 9810?
Is there any possibility I could receive a refurbished 9900 instead if I ask? I much prefer the form factor of the 9900 over the 9800/9810.

Thanks.

their refurbished stock on the 9800 is probably plentiful.
just because they do not sell it in stores, does not mean their warehouses are full of them

a small drop can indeed hinder a phones performace if it lands in a way that the device does not like, or if it is on a harder surface like granite or concrete.

I do not understand how the end button is difficult to press as it is right on the face of the phone, and the device lagging and freezing means that you either have not enough free memory for the phone to run, or you have an app causing some trouble.

Actually, most of your problems there seem OS/app related.

I would look into making a back up of your phone, erasing the OS and loading a clean updated version or hybrid on to your device. Then restoring our information and contacts.

Good luck!

If it's a pysical damage it will be harder to get it replaced. and i think they will give you another 9800.
