Default Paid 199 for bold last week! Now on for 99

Just purchased the bold 9900 last week with my upgrade for 199, Now a week later down to 99! Called rogers to try and get refunded for the 100 dollars was told sorry sir only new customers get that deal! unreal been there for 10 years but get the shaft! So much for loyalty eh!

A lot of carriers used to give better deals to new customers in the U.S.. It still happens, but not advertised.

Yeah, that promotion is for new activations only. I wish I could pay that price for my upgrade.

So long as you're not on contract... just sign up as a new customer. I gave up fighting the CSR's and retention people and just wait for the new customer deal I want after my contract runs out... and I usually still keep my number as they basically port it from one account to another.

Then again I do the same thing with cable too - new customers always get a better deal, so I keep switching.
