Question OS 7.1 for Roger users?

I would love to know when ROGERS is going to send out updates for OS 7.1. I really don't want to download an leaked OS and go through the headache.

I currently have Bold 9900.

it's really not much hassle to load the new one with desktop. it self installs, just takes a while. it's pretty complete though, I get uma and hotspot with mine, so official rogers is probably close

I hear ya there. Deleting a file is a major pain and a hassle.

Has anyone tried 7.1.0.205 on a rogers 9900 ?
If so can we just upgrade with desktop manager without wiping the device

Of course backing it up before

Say what? Download the latest leak. No files to delete. Installation is easy. Leaks do not have a Vendor file. Official is not requires so long as the OS is for your device.

I have .205 on my rogers 9900 and it works well. I use app loader to always update my OS I think its easier, but that's just me
I'd say go for it!

I'm new to my Berry, but does Rogers update the OS -ever-? Is .319 for the 9360 still the "latest version" to them?

I called them a few months ago when I first got my phone trying to figure out why when I connected my 9360 to my Desktop Manager it wasn't detecting an update that I saw a news article about here on crackberry. This was around the same time AT&T issued their update for the 9360 which, at the time, AT&T did not even offer. All the rep told me was the OS that was pre-loaded on the phone (.319) was the latest version of the OS.

I should have known better than to expect any real help. However, I do understand they're not exactly going to walk you through how to load another carrier's OS onto their phone even if they do know how to do it.

i have 7.1 205 on my torch 9860 works really well battery life is excellent hotspot works flawlessly. i think the only downside is that there is still a memory leak but in all honesty i dont think its a leak i think it is social feeds storing all the info from rss facebook and twitter feeds cuz when i reboot memory is back but all my feeds are empty.
