No BB Instant Messaging today @ 5:00pm???

Hey there,

With Roger, in Toronto and we cannot IM to each other nor any one else in our IM contacts.

The time was 5:00pm

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Yeah I live in the GTA and my BB is down. I'm running a storm on Rogers, was working all day at work then about 4PMish my EDGE dropped off the phone.

After doing hard resets on the phone still a no go. (Storm 9530 is temperamental on GSM as it is.)

Finished talking to a Rogers tech and it's an Ontario wide issue. They are working on it right now. ETA is known at the moment, 2 - 5 hours the tech told me.

Now I know I AM a Crackberry user... going through withdrawl right now.

Actually weird thing is, my wife's old 7280 is still connected with no issues. Decided to check her phone as well and sure enough it sends email still... Now I don't know what the **** to think other then possibly the radio freq. are different in the phones and 'ol blue isnt picky about whatever issue is going on.

swtich to EDGE only or you can turn on wifi and it will start working

the tech did ask what our phone was and told him we had the 8900.

it may model specific

happened to me in fredericton,new brunswick,have an 8310 on rogers and am not able to use anything that requires data(facebook,bbm,browser),weird thing is my girlfriends 8310 on rogers,was using hers fine!

yep it was down for a few hours.. it was on and off a lot!

sometimes i get radio path unavailable

Looks like its happening again. First BIS was down for a while right now and now 2G and 3G are down in my area its only showing GPRS.

I'm down in So Cali and its been giving me grief on and off since yesterday!!! I thought it was just because i switched to 5.0 but other people who have the older version are suffering too! ANNOYING!!!
