New Unlimited Plans with Rogers (Family and Single)

Rogers has kept a tight lip about this but starting this week, they will start offering unlimited talk time on family plans. prices will stay the same and you can only differentiate the different plans (cost) is by the amount of data you get.

Also, we have a new Unlimited value Plan for voice only. $34.97 voice only and while the promotion still lasts...30$ for 6GB data. Add that up and your only paying 64.97 and thats much cheaper then other voice and data plans with rogers.
200 min and unlmited texting (picture and video), my10 Canada wide, free after 6 eve and weeknds free and if its a new activation, activation few waived.
You can also get this plan MTM (month to month) if you have your own phone. so no need to sign a new contract

Yeah, i have heard about these as well. I believe they are $94.70 and $139.70 if Im not mistaken. They include unlimited "local" calling. The $94.70 is something like unlimited family canada-wide calling, unlimited local calling and unlimited text. The $139.70 is the same thing i believe but with 2GB of data.

These plans seem beneficial if most of your calls are local. However, the $124.70, 400 mins, 6pm, my10 canada-wide and unlimited text family plan may be a better option if you need that Long Distance option. Don't quote me on the prices of those family plans, but i'm pretty sure that's what they will be/are.

Yeah...I don't really think these are great options at all. Prices seem a bit steep and unlimited is not a 2GB cap. Seems that Koodo, Virgin among others all have much better options. There are even better options on the Rogers website as was mentioned...my10 options with 2GB for about $20 cheaper...these plans do not make sense.
