New Blackberry Models - Pricing

Has anyone had any luck getting any of the new Blackberry models for less than they are advertised at Rogers ($199.99)? A friend of mine went to Bell and they sold her the new Bold 9900 for $70 because she said she was shopping around. I wonder if anyone has taken another retailer's advertised price into a Rogers store to see if Rogers would price-match? I want to purchase a new phone, and would prefer to purchase from Rogers rather than Future Shop/Best Buy, but won't waste my time if Rogers isn't willing to budge on their price.

I really doubt Rogrers (or anyone really) would drop the price of a handset on a 3 year term. Your friend was very lucky, possibly "good look discount" so they say? haha

Furthermore, personally if I were you I'd weigh the options of paying $200+taxes+$35 activation fee you're going to be charged, and then locked into a 3 year term paying most likely $60+ per month. Is it worth locking yourself down for that much, especially when QNX phones are somewhere right around the corner? Probably just better off waiting a month at most and picking one up on kijiji for $500 all in.
