Keep the same number while switching plans?

I am curious to know if I would be able to keep my current number with my Pay as you Go phone, when i switch to the new Blackberry Bold 9900 coming out.

I am currently with Rogers for Pay as you Go, and I plan on signing a 3 year contract with Rogers when the Bold price lowers.

Is it possible to keep the same number? That would save me all the hassle from texting everyone my new number. And would it cost anything to switch numbers? if so, How much?

Yes you can change plans and keep the same number, if you wanted to switch its 25 bucks, unless you do it online and then its 15 I believe. Also if you move and u have to switch area codes then its free to switch numbers
