Default I have the Torch, I need a plan

    Hi all,

I'm currently hunting for a voice/data package to suffice my needs. Please know that I have an unlocked Torch and am just looking for the SIM card and service plan.

    I'd like:

    Minimal airtime (Emergencies only)
    Unlimited social networking + IM
    Unlimited text/picture/video messaging, if possible.
Some data so I can check youtube, occassional web sites, and download apps/music.

I'm kind of fed up using Rogers' web site to find a plan - as everything requires me to buy a phone or sign a 3-year contract with a phone. I'd prefer month-to-month, but would settle on a year contract for the right package.

    All advice appreciated!

    Cheers,

Month-to-month on rogers blows. You can't get any of the 'decent' plans WITHOUT a term...

Seriously, if you want the 'best bang for the buck' go with Fido. Since the prices you see online are the prices you pay plus tax.

with rogers its tax & 3$ more for the GRRF. lulz

What you want would be the 25$ voice plan [100mins/unlim. E&W @ 7pm (i think they changed all plans to 6pm now), unlim. texting] & 25$ BIS data, more than enough for all the browsing, bbm'ing & IM than you would need.

And in all fairness you'd be paying 10-20$ more for some other ridiculous plan on Rogers without a term... Where Fido states these prices are month-to-month no agreement

Most to all of the plans with Rogers requires you to commit a year contract with them. And with some "great deal bundles" it gets you to commit to 3 years. So the only option for Rogers is pay by the month plans which in my opinion isn't really good...
