Default HUP - Who do I talk to?

Just wondering, do I go to a Rogers Plus store or call them if I want to ask about HUP? How strict have they been about requiring Blackberry users to have 2 years of a contract done before they let you upgrade?

You can either go into a store or call their online #. As for strictness.... good luck. It won't happen (in my opinion). If you want to try to bargain for an early upgrade your best bet is not through a store.

I say call them and if they say no tell them you wanna cancel then they will transfer you to retentions. Retentions might actually do it and its worth a try. The only thing is call on a weekday when retentions is open. I think they are open on saturdays but not sundays or holidays.

Yes, the retention department is the only one that can help. If they say no, then you can't do it.

I believe they are getting strict.

As for who to go to, I personally stick with a Rogers dealer that I've built up a good rapport or business relationship with.

I find now that a lot of the retentions reps are saying no to a lot of things. When everything use to be yes yes yes they are getting more stricter. So lame!! And some of them have gotten meaner too... At least the ones I have spoken with and I'm a nice person lol

Retentions are actually the experts on policy, more so than most other reps. I find they will just quote policy and stick with it, but they will bend a little sometimes.

In order to get them to take you seriously about a cancellation claim, you have to initiate it through a regular rep. Be careful though because if things don't go your way they may just say go ahead and cancel.

Due to the recent policy changes, it's going to be very hard to get an upgrade before your term is up. From what I understand, everyone has been told by the higher ups to put a lid on it because of the company's bottom line. So with that kind of talk, it ain't going to be easy.
