Default A dumb question: better safe than sorry

dumb question....

now Im sure its ok...but I just wanna be sure....better safe than sorry

Im thinking of buying a bell branded bb 9780 and unlock it to use on Rogers.

When I get it unlocked, will it work on Rogers fine (100%), call/text/Data3G etc will work as if it was a Rogers phone ?.....not like how Wind's bb 9780 3G will not work on rogers GSM network

what problems will i run into, if any? service books etc?

thx

I've learned in life that there are no "dumb" questions, even if they appear to be so to others. To paraphrase a famous quote: "Ask a question and remain a fool for 5 minutes; don't ask and remain a fool forever."

Ignorance can be blissful but its pricetag can also be costly.

Just my two cents.

You're right, they are on a cdma network. However, phones like the 9780 and the Iphone run strictly off of 3G on bell and telus networks.

That depends on how you calculate costs
Being locked 3 years in a contract costs far more than having the freedom to cancel as I need.

And you can buy a used phone off of Kijiji for cheaper than retail if it can be unlocked you are golden

Ok I have another questiom. I can't get BBM requests to clear from my status bar once I hit accept. I have a bold 9780. If anyone can help as to how to clear them from my status bar that would be much apreciated. Thanks
