    Default Data plan help....

    I got the 500 mb data memery for my bold and it is supposed to be activated today. How do i confirm that the data is activated so i dont go browsing without the data activated for some reason.
    aswell, I cant seem to get the blackberry messenger working. I send friend requests (via pin) and it says pending beside their name. But my friends inform me they dont recieve the request. My brother told me my pin may be locked because I got the phone off kijiji awhile ago and it may have been a stolen phone. Anyone got any solutions to try for the bbm?

    Should say EDGE in all upper case letters instead of lower case. You may also need to do a battery pull.

    i tried a sim/battery pull with no success.....
    even if my pin is locked by chance, shouldnt the data still be working, just not email and bbm.

    Call up rogers and ask if it has actually been activated?

    i called today and they said yes. I'll wait it out till tomorrow and if it doesn't work im phoning them back

    so i put my sim into my sisters pearl and edge was in upper case and it sent a message welcoming me to data plan or something. So i guess it's the phones problem. Is it possible I have an option or something else that is making it so data can not be recieved...? or do I need a new phone...

    Options > Mobile Network. Make sure data services are set to on.
