Default Bold 9900 question
Well here's my situation I can't get an upgrade for the 9900 for a while because I upgraded a few months ago....but my mom has an upgrade ,my question is if she gets the 9900 on an upgrade and gives it to me can I use it??

I can't be sure for Rogers, but I know under AT&T you can just swap SIM cards and this would work w/out issue. I don't believe it would be different for Rogers.

I have done it. I was not eligable for an upgrade either but my wife was. She did not want to move from her 9700 so she ordered her new phone(9900) and I placed my sim card in and it works fine.

I also can confirm I have done this and it is fine. It is just as if you bought a locked phone off Kijiji for example.

Confirmed... got an upgrade using my wife's account, simply put my sim card in the phone and it worked fine.

Yep i did it also through rogers with my wifes upgrade, just switched the sims and had no problems!
