My dad is with Rogers, just got him:

Unlimited calling across north america
Unlimited global txting
CID / VM
"Unlimited" data (which is probably restricted to 6 GB in some fine print somewhere)

$90 + tax no SAF.

I'm with Fido and have:

2000 minutes across Canada
Unlimited incoming calls
Unlimited global txting
CID / VM
6 GB Data

$78 + tax no SAF.

I guess Rogers didn't really want to retain me. I was on the phone with them for about a hour, couldn't get any deal close to what some have here. I was really hoping for unlimited long distance canada wide, nope.....no dice.

I gotta ask, right now I have the following plan:

- $30: 300 Minutes w/ unlimited evenings and weekends (starting at 9PM) which also includes My5 Canada-Wide
- $30: 6GB Data plan
- $15: Additional Value Pack which includes voicemail / caller ID / 2500 Sent Texts / Unlimited Received (unsure if the texts is part of the original plan) and 1000 Picture Texts

This equals out to about $90 after taxes.

Anyway does your plan consist of texting and can you do a quick laydown of where your $$ goes into and how it equals out to less than $100? I'd pay the extra $10 to have unlimited calling within North America!

Thanks!

I'm with Rogers, 2 phones, mine's paid for but my wife has 17 months left. They've been making a mess of my billing lately, even more than usual, so I'm in a customer service war with them.

Here's their latest offer to me:

$85 per month including SA fee
-Unlimited calls, incoming and outgoing
-Unlimited long distance to or from anywhere in North America, but does not include calls I make while in the USA
-6 GB Data
Enhanced voice mail, call waiting, caller ID
-Unlimited texting / messaging.

Not sure if the texting includes picture texts, but it's not an issue for me anyway.

Should I take this plan? I offered them $65 for all of this, they say it's impossible but they'll call me back... any opinion out there?

This would be "times two" (ie, for my wife and me)

TIA

i would take that! the unlimited North American would be key. that package alone is a $35 bundle.

i tried to get something similar through Rogers retention but no dice.

No I did not, despite the high prices, they are still the best carrier for me. I will give it some more time and try again, eventually I will be better off with Bell, and if Rogers cant offer me something on par with what Bell can, then I know where I will go.

I will never understand the picking and choosing that companies do in offering different plans, benefits, bundles and such to different people. How they come up with what for who.....doesnt make sense to me. I am just the consumer though, what do I know right!

you know those girls that always threaten to leave their boyfriends after every little dispute... eventually the guy catches on . Just a reminder. (ie. Rogers has records...)

I am aware they keep records, pretty much every company has records of every time you call in.
That doesnt change anything though, they will be able to see that I called how ever many months before and asked about pretty much the same thing. Maybe the next time they will be able to be a little bit more supportive and at least try to work a deal.

I pay $80 bucks per month give or take a few dollars.

I'm not a heavy user of my phone though, so I certainly don't have some of the things people have in this thread. I only get 500 megs of data, unlimited calling @ night, unlimited text, voicemail, call display etc. After reading this thread I may have to give Rogers a little call and increase a few things, even if I don't need them.

If there is one thing I've learned about dealing with Rogers over the past 10+ years, it's that if you b***h enough they will give you what you want
