For 10+ years. How long have you been with Rogers? I can't believe you got your's so cheap... arrghh.. but I'm wondering if it's because it's a zone thing? I'm in BC and I think you're in ON?

D**mn you Rogers!

Maybe I should call them back, however I've just upgraded to a Torch last fall and rolled this plan over. I've had this same plan for 4+ years... when I went to renew they told me this plan doesn't even exist anymore... I know for sure the data plan is less GB and more money...

I have a few questions... Right now my plan is pretty decent, i know i can get much better but i'm willing to wait a bit. my contract is up december 2012. Now... when i renewed, i had gotten a new phone for free but have since changed to the torch, which i bough off contract from the US, and sold my other phone.

I was just wondering what the real advantage is by letting my contract expire and buying handsets @ full price and not signing a contract to get a reduced rate on the phone i am buying.

will they really give you the best possible price if you say "i don't want a rebate on a phone, i don't want a contract... give me your best monthly plan?"

or would rogers be more willing to give me a GREAT plan if i say i'll sign for a year but you don't need to subsidize my phone??

we have 6 cell lines with rogers in my family all being paid from either the business or my father who pays for my siblings.

I'm looking to negotiate for one of these two plans which i have seen people able to get from rogers:

Unlimited North America calling
Unlimited Txt Msg Global
Voicemail & Call Display
1Gg data
NO CONTRACT
$65 A MONTH TAXES INCL

- $50 Unlimited North America Call and Text
- Free Caller ID
- $30 6GB data
- $10 + $15 credits
Total: $65 + taxes

I do not understand how 50 + 30 +10 +15 = 65

I do not know anyone who has a non corporate bb who pays less than 70 for a decent phone plan + decent data

Thanks for the tip. So to be clear this 50 north am plan does have unlimited minutes? I get a lot of incoming calls as much as my outgoing calls and pretty well everyone in my company is on Rogers or Fido so I don't want to lose the free incoming.

But I will check it out.

Still does not add up...

$50 + $30 - $10 - $15 = $55

That's pretty amazing.

I asked the rep this as well

and she said basically I get to Stop counting minutes!!

so it is Unlimited incoming/out going, any time, as long as you are in Canada, and calling within North America.

Default Plans

Well i like the 50 NA Plan looks fairly decent.. this is what i currently have now.

700/Unltd Early Eve/Wknds Plan 50.00
BB Data Value Pack* 30.00
9-1-1 Emergency Access Fee 0.75
System Access Fee 6.95
Total before taxes: $89.85
