Without knowing anything about what you agree to when you buy an iPhone, what I get from the article is that while you may be buying the phone, Apple is not guaranteeing that you will be able to use it for phone calls if you violate the terms.
I seriously doubt this would get approved. Anyway, yes Apple is annoying for many reasons but so is Google, ATT, Enron, BP etc. Aren't many huge corporations in the world that are easy to deal with.
Don't know why this just poped in my head, but does anyone remember about back in 2002 when British Telecom tried to enfore a patene on the hyperlink!!
Think of how much they would have made if they won that case.
