Nope.
The only effect it's likely to have on me is road closures due to motorcades.
Part of me wants to go down there and walk around screaming
"Dirty bomb, dirty bomb!" But then I risk finding out if Canada has it's own version of Guantanamo.
Besides, I just don't enjoy cavity searches the way I used to.
You know, it's one thing to protest, picket, let your dissent be heard. But when they begin to destroy property that belongs to others and run rampant in the streets I'm ready for a full force response. Give fair warnings and then come in swingin...

On the way in to work there was a short news item that RIM wanted to be a corporate sponsor of this summit.
(This would have helped to pay for the security costs of this logistical beast).
Part of the plan was, naturally, they would be giving away free BlackBerrys to our illustrious leaders. They were turned down.
