First I want to say that this is not a rant or troll topic.

Am I the only one who thinks Wi-Fi calling is a way for carriers to save money and bandwidth? I mean, if I had to use Wi-Fi, why even use my phone in the first place instead of Skype, Viber, Google Voice, etc? There are other programs as well that give you a phone number and let you use VoIP.

I see all these threads how Wi-Fi calling is not working with leaked 10.2. My personal view is that Wi-Fi calling is just a way to cut costs for the operator. And for those that don't have signal, should think about changing the operator or using one of the programs I mentioned above.

Maybe this is just me. What do you guys think?

Understandable where you are coming from. And yes it does take some burden off the carrier. But, with wife calling you still use your own number, without paying extra. Skype, gvoice etc, you get a different number.

    It's a BlackBerry...enough said!
