Ok after I heard this on the radio. I figured I wanted to see everyones in put on this matter
So this girl that's a high school graduate, goes to school wearing a short mini skirt without any draws on so she doesn't show any pantie lines.all for picture day...... and has a group picture taken for one of her classes and her cookie shows up in the photos and now the mom would like the pictures to be taken over and the yearbook given back and re-done at the cost of the county
so my question is who is at fault for this ....
    1) the mom
    2) the daughter
    3) the school
    4) everyone above
I would love to see everyones input on this and me as a parent I would so not let my daughter out of the house wearing anything as skimpy as this girl did (yes my own opinion)
    so who is at fault?
and post ya comments ............please keep it (pg rated)

Well, when I was in high school, my mom didn't ever see what I had on when I was leaving the house because she was still asleep at 7 in the morning, so ill have to say the blame belongs to the daughter. If you're a senior in high school, its your decision whether you want to wear underwear or not.

The girl. It's common for teenage girls to leave home, dressed one way, and change into different clothes (or take off some clothes), once they get to school.

If the girl is no longer a minor, she is responsible for her own actions.
If she is still a minor the parents should be held responsible for the costs associated with her actions.

yes the girl is the major one at fault here but the mom wants the year book to be re-done and the county pay for it......
I think she should bare the cost of the yearbooks
and the girl should pay for it as well

In complete agreement. The yearbook has to be redone.

I guess the school shouldn't have let a beaver in the yearbook though.... That is a little unprofessional.

Knowing class pictures, there's prolly not a whole lot to see. I can't see them (mom & daughter) being held financially responsable for re-printing all the yearbooks. If they have been passed out already, then I don't think that anything can be done. If they are still in the assembly phase, then maybe see what the cost would be. I do think that the girl is completely at fault, and if there's any financial burden it should fall on the family, but again, I say let it go and let it die down.

Personally, I don't care if she's underage and it's consider kiddie pr0n, I'd say make her live with it. If the county decides to recall all the year books for that reason, then I think the county should pay.

Well it's the girl's fault, and the mom nor the school needs to pay to have the photos redone, especially if it's past the deadline for getting photos sent in to the yearbook publisher. They can and normally will just crop the photo, airbrush or photoshop things like that out. Or just leave that one photo out completely.

When I left high school back in the stone age (1975) they were able to airbrush out acne, scars and tattoos and there were a few students that when you saw their photos, you were shocked, because you didn't recognize them without their pimples. So if this is an important photo for the "class", then editing the photo is what should be done.

Knowing how some of the photos are taken (by students), it very likely it was not even noticed at the time the pictures were taken. And if this was a pro shot, with all the activity, and the number of people around, it's not likely that a beaver shot would have gone un-noticed before it was taken. And what girl in a short skirt, sits spread eagle anyway? The story sounds fishy. (I didn't just say that did I?)

The girl is definitely the one to blame. Seriously... the things these "young women" wear today. Anyway, I say play the ball where it lay. The girl had sense enough to not wear underwear for fear of exposing a "panty line", she should've had sense enough to make sure her "who-haw" was concealed when the photographer said "three".

i'd have to say the school for not editing that out of the year book. How many women out there don't wear undies on a day to day basis? how many men do the same thing? i guess it would be come second nature to you and wouldn't think about it. if i was in her shoes and i did it frequently i wouldn't think about. Plus you KNOW someone in the year book department saw that and thought it would be "cool" to throw it in there.

as someone who is not a fan of the underwears, one most definitely does think about it, especially when choosing your attire in the morning.
anyone who would wear something short enough for their monkey to hang out, yet not think "I better wear something underneath" clearly WANTS someone to see something and is doing it for attention.

Technically, if she's underage and her beaver came out to play... the whole thing has to be done.

Can't that be considered circulating child pornography?

Doesn't this all tie into the whole "sexting" phenomena?

The daughter is at fault, as well as the yearbook commitee.

They surely noticed the beaver chilling in the photo and probably submitted that picture on purpose.

The young lady is at fault for her choice in not wearing panties.
Knowing that it is normally a 3 ring circus to get young people to do somethign as a group the photographer probably did not give a glance as they were looking at faces to make sure all eyes were open and hopefully there were smiles. Unless the shot was a "flagrant she has her legs uncrossed" if seated.
However, the yearbook committee should have caught it. The boys in the group would have definitely noticed it, knowing where boys eyes wander.
And if it was allowed to be published, then the yearbook committee should be responsible for a recall if needed.

Child pornography is one thing, nudity is another.
This goes into defining the baby pictures that parents take of the kids in the tub or a photo of something funny but the child is naked.
Just something else for the PC Police to jump on

that was what i was getting at also but I so have mixed feelings about this
cuz the mom should install morals were she (the young girl) should have know what was appropriate to wear and also the school should have went over the pictures with fine tooth comb before releasing them to the yearbook

But let me throw this out there. Lets say the tables were turned a little. and this chick wore the same skirt and a pair of thongs for the picture. she is still wearing panties but it would of be just a off color if not more off color than wearing nothing.

    or
she was wearing some really short shorts and he **** was hanging out of the bottom of the shorts. she is wearing panties, and has the "void" covered. but it's just as off color.

Darned if you do and darned if you don't.

Pictures just dont "Apparate" themselves into yearbooks.

Pictures are pooled togethor, and then arranged and decided on where they go.

How was this not caught? And if it was caught, why would it be let into the book?

    A funny joke? Cruel intentions?
