To tell you the truth almost all PDA's have the same form and look factors. You could have even replaced "curve" in your title for almost anything else.

it just seems that all of the phone are following suit after the 83xx/8900/bold have gotten popular.

Im amused how phones kept getting tinier and tinier, and now they are getting bigger and bigger.

Phones getting tinier is one thing, but we're doing a lot more than talking on them in the Smartphone world. Tiny keys wouldn't necessarily be a good thing.
