As the leader of the BlackBerry community, what does your daily workload look like? Do you scour the forums? Have meetings?

Is it a regular 9 to 5 job, or is it the entrepreneurial "work all the time?"

Being an entrepreneur, I'm very fascinated with people's work process. Would you care to share with the community a glimpse in the world of crackberry?

I reckon it's not all that different from many of us folk around here. The biggest difference is he gets paid for his time. Well, that, and he doesn't need to worry about winning contests to get free swag.

Work all the time or perhaps, maybe more of an 'on call' scenario lol. I can be up at 6AM doing a live chat for the earnings calls or be up 3AM handling news from coming Mobile World Congress or I can have a simple 9 to 5 day depending on the day. I'm always in the forums, not necc. scouring for news but answering questions and helping out. I think it's important to be in here and interacting with people, whether that be in the forums, over Twitter, BBM, email. etc.

I don't know how well it is known, but I started here in the forums as a, (forgive me I hate the term but it's the best description) regular user. It just so happens that I posted so darn much in such a short amount and the posts were so on point, that I managed to catch Kevin's attention. I wasn't part of the 'original' CB team, but I came in shortly after and worked my way up, so to speak. That's why I think it's important to continue posting in the forums and interacting with you crazy lot.

Meetings? I have one every day at 3PM with Michelle and our community manager James Falconer, because aside from being EiC for CrackBerry, I have plenty of other responsibilities that others don't necc. see on a daily basis. I often have to address tech concerns and make sure those get routed properly, I have to address mod concerns and make sure those get routed properly. I often have to handle the small things around the site that others don't necc. think of because, well, I've been here for a long time and with being here a long time comes a pretty extensive knowledge of how things are done, what's broke, what needs fixing, etc.

And it's not always just on CB either. As I'm sure everyone knows, Mobile Nations runs multiple sites including iMore, Android Central, Windows Central and while all those places have their own EiC's and teams, I'm still interacting on those sites often as well and helping out where I can. If you look hard enough, you will see my name (or my real name) on each and every one of those sites in some capacity so while some see me as the EiC of CrackBerry and think that's all I do, I assure you, there's more to it than that.

I know that doesn't exactly lay out my process or workload as you asked but I think it lays out some better insight than just telling you I wake up, then a list of the things I do. If you have any follow-up questions, ask them, I'll do my best to answer them.

My hero! Envy your tech knowledge/expertise...

I can't figure out what to do about the update. My SE works great withot 3.3 - it's factory unlocked purchased direct from BlackBerry and on no-contract with ATT.
I'm not into apps although I would love to have skype on this passport...

    Your advice?

    And thank you

Thank you! Don't know how to use Cobalt but can learn.
Also, I didn't mean to hijack thread!
    Let's get back to Bla1ze

Questions for Bla1ze: do you write code? Is that a fancy way of saying you write programs?
Can you take apart a BlackBerry and put it back together in working order?
What do you do for fresh air and exercise?

Do I write code: Not really. I have put together some rinky dink apps here and there and I can code websites OK, but I wouldn't say I'm great at it. I'm good at taking existing code, tearing it apart and repurposing it to my needs though. Like if there's a plugin or something that I want to change how it works, I can generally rip it apart and adapt it.

Can you take apart a BlackBerry and put it back together in working order?: I have in the past, though, I haven't had to much of that recently.

What do you do for fresh air and exercise?: Admittedly, I'm not one for much exercise. I have health issues that are actually bothered by too much physical activity. But I do take walks and try to get out as much as possible.

OH cool! I didn't know that I was trying from a PC and I got an error message. I don't have a BB10 device anymore to try it on! (DON'T hate folks! I had a Priv which I passed on to my Dad, and my last BB10 was a Passport which I loved! I will probably pickup a Mercury also at some point!)
