My first BB is the one i have now, the Bold 9000. I love the phone, and after some minor tweaking, i've got it set up just the way that i want it. What i really like is the way that you can customize it. Lots of help from people here on the forums, so it's pretty hard to totally screw up. I've found that anything that i did by mistake, can be undone. Just post your thread on the right forum, be patient (not my strong suit), and somebody will give you assistance. After a while, you'll be helping out others.
I got my first BB last year with the original Storm 9530. I generally liked it but kept wanting to make it better. I obsessively followed crackberry forums and updated to latest leaked OSs every chance I got. I was hooked. I grew to love that 9530, and was sad when it was time for me to upgrade. But I was able to get a Storm2, and now am completely in love with it
My first was a Pearl 8120, I bought it off eBay for 100 in February 2009 on a whim to see what it was like (no-one really owned one that I knew of then) and within a month upgraded to a Curve 8900 on contract. Now a year on and I'm due to upgrade to Bold 9700 in a week I have thought about switching to an iPhone 3GS but the grass isn't always greener on the other side!

mine was the curve 8300 or the 8310 I can't remember but I loved it even thou they weren't on the data plan but all my other bbs have been and love the bbm
My first BB was the Curve 8320. It was also my first smartphone, so I was impressed by its ability to do 'smart' things, all now taken for granted, like tailoring the menu to your current activity and recognising & using phone numbers & e-mail addresses in messages & docs. Of course, BB e-mail handling was outstanding.
I used it for 2 1/2 years (unheard of, I know) until upgrading to the Bold 9700 three months ago. The Bold is sleek and FAR more capable, but I really miss the old Curve's spacious keypad.
My first BlackBerry is the Storm 2, and even though I'm learning slowly as I go, I absolutely love it! Waiting on the 9670 "clamshell" to get as my backup, second BB for when I'm out and about, but don't want to put my touchscreen in harms way.
