Nobody works in the USA. It's the land of milk and honey for slackers.

I used to travel towards Northwest Atl for 2 years - only 22 miles each way but it would take me 1.5 hours every morning and evening. Then I got smarter, decided not to kill anyone, quit and got a new job on the opposite side. Now I drive against the traffic to and from work! About a year ago, I turned down an offer from a company in downtown ATL. It was more money, but I just couldn't imagine sitting in traffic again.

Ah sorry, I live in England, in North Kent. Rochester and London Bridge are train stations, I should've mentioned that before :-)

I Drive my Ford F250 Pickup truck the 133km to my office when I make the commute, BUT I normally do the commute ahead of traffic so I only really hit traffic the last 20km or so.

I drive very fast for a very short distance then sit a traffic light. Repeat.

16.5 mile commute takes 30 minutes. Longer going home. If half the 28 traffic signals were gone, I would save about 10 minutes. When I moved to where I currently live 20 years ago there was only 8 lights.

True, it was bought a few decades ago. We've had a new, stronger one built after the old bridge was taken down. Right now, I'm inhibited from getting into work because the snow and ice on the railway tracks keep leaving our trains stranded.

I drive my car 32 miles one way, takes me 35 minutes. I love living out in the sticks where there isn't much traffic to sit for hours in.

That is my normal except now I have slowed it down a bit so that everyone can enjoy the view of my truck.

I sit through quite a few red lights on my drive in. So lots of people are getting the chance to view it.

Drive my car 3 miles to work, then back. Nice short drive after many years of commuting 3 hrs a day. Love the change for sure.

Not really affected by Rush hour...i get my boys to school and work from home or sometimes head to the office which is about a 7 minute drive...the day ends when clients and customers tell me it's over...but that's all part of the job of selling homes... the day never really ends and no fixed times. Most of the time...my car is my office.
