I call WalMart squall mart because you can never go there without the proverbial screaming kid. I can't stand it when breeders (not parents), let their kids behave like monkies on crack. I, myself, would never hit someone's child, but I sure do understand the frustration! And since when is spanking considered abuse? What happened to "It takes a village" philosiphy? And yes, I have spoken my mind to the zombie "parents" when their kids were misbehaving. I have also thanked those that had wonderfully behaved kids. It works both ways.

Yes and I'm sorry about getting upset early but its not only kids been in store and resurant where grown adult was acting worse then any two year old would and plenty of times and what else made me upset was some of the same people that said he did the right thing was in the thread about how upset they was about mick vick at a boys and girls club and playing football that showed me that they put more value on a dog then they did on a human child

@ kansasman, I have the same issue. Whenever I hear people
describe their pet as a "member of the family" it drives me nuts
because invariably these people treat the pet better than the
actual humans. This applies to people I actually know, so don't
even think of flaming me.
Back to the topic, no stranger has a right to discipline or strike
another persons child, regardless how the child is behaving.
This old man needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of
the law. (Were it me, lethal injection would be an option)
