I travel overseas every few months, for pleasure not for work. Get sick of the fact that roaming is so expensive on my network using a monthly contract.

I just want to be able to SIMS occasionally. So I use a prepaid sim card that I can top up -problem is they expire quite quick, but they do allow me to SIMS overseas for a higher SIMS cost

When I am at this airport they always have these stalls for international sim cards. Anyone use them?

I've used GO-SIM.com a few times, I think they're called Telestial in the US. Works pretty well, rates aren't too bad and they have some decent data bundles.

I travel a lot and live in multiple countries and I always buy a local sim and activate a prepaid plan with great ease wherever I go. That's probably easiest and cheapest option in my opinion. You grab them right off the plane in the airports 95% of the time.

Dunno where you usually travel, but if it's Europe, you should go for LeFrenchMobile.

They have international SIM cards that allow you to call and text with low rates. And the voice quality is really good.
