I don't even have cable TV. I didn't watch it enough to justify paying for it. I do have a Netflix subsciption. I also watch TV programs on the web.

Its alot of money and you can only use it to surf the web can't use it to play video games or download a bunch of music or anything. I can tether my phone but still not as good as regular Internet service.

I can live without TV, but I could never manage without the Internet. It was awful even when I had to use dial-up while my DSL account was changed.

Well I have unlimited Internet on my phone so that helps. Would rather have it on my phone so I can use it while I'm at work. I think I would et cabin fever if I didn't have Internet for work. They block 99.9 percent of everything at work.

Oh man, I couldn't do dial up again.
And yet I remember when I didn't even have that...

I had DSL, but some weird glitch happened with my email account and getting emails on a feature phone I had in 2007. AT&T's only solution was for me to cancel my DSL and start it again with a new account. I had to use dial-up for a week until the new account took effect.

Got the HTC G2, didn't pay a cent for the phone, shipping, activation or upgrade fee. Only had to re-up for another two year contact, and I was gonna be staying anyway, so.... free works for me.

Nicely done! I doubt you'll look back much. I sure haven't and I've been with the robot crowd since mid-Sep.

Google navigation makes it worth it the switch even if it didn't do anything else. I mean who can beat realtime traffic updates and free turn by turn voice nav...
